We are proud to have the North Suburban Jewish Community Center’s (NSJCC) early childhood program housed on our North Shore campus. This partnership allows for rich intergenerational programming benefitting the social, emotional and physical well-being of both our senior residents and our children.
And what a celebration it has been! This award-winning program has brought such pleasure to our long term and assisted living residents and a lifetime of learning and friendships for our children. As one of our residents said, “The children bring me such joy and happiness. I feel young again.”
Volunteers from the North Shore campus assisted living residences provide reading, science, history and life lessons. Our Great Room is the scene of many raucous afternoons as our multi generations enjoy learning together. Children and residents bond over such activities as music, movement activities, yoga, gardening and holiday celebrations.
All of our programming is done in partnership with the NSJCC. For more information about the NSJCC’s early education programs, please visit their website.
